Ranch Life

8,300 sf | 5 bedroom | 5 bath

The client requested a Mediterranean villa on an 800-acre horse ranch in Colorado and the result is quite unique.

The H-shaped footprint creates an entry courtyard and a private rear courtyard, while the remainder of the home takes in the endless Colorado views.

Rustic elegance describes the interior with its use of stone, tile, timber beams and plaster walls. The spacious, vaulted entry foyer with its serpentine staircase, beamed ceiling and central chandelier tends to divide the home into a public wing and a private wing. The open, gourmet kitchen is the center of activity on the public side of the home, while the generous dining room allows its guests a majestic view of the Front Range and Pikes Peak.

The master suite has luxuries typically found in a European Chateau. It also allows the clients access to their own exterior retreat as well glorious sunrises over their property and barn beyond.

The partial basement felt like bonus space for this residence, but that is an understatement. It houses the king of all man caves as well as a full spa.

Comfort is the theme throughout this magnificent home. Depending on the time of day, or the directional view you prefer will direct you to the room you wish to relax in.

It was a true pleasure working with the owners of this “not so little” house on the prairie.
